Intro to Garment Sewing - Sonoma Tee, Hands-on Class



Try your hand at garment sewing while creating this wardrobe staple. The Sonoma tee can be sewn in a few hours with plenty of options. Class will begin with try-on samples to help you select the correct size and make any needed alterations. Pattie will aid you in layout and cutting, seaming, and edge finishing. The top can be constructed using your sewing machine or serger. Skill Level: Confident Beginner and above

This class is ideal for beginners looking to build confidence in garment construction. Under Pattie Otto's expert guidance, you'll learn fabric selection, pattern reading, and essential sewing techniques while creating a Sonoma Tee. By the end, you'll have a completed project and valuable skills for future sewing endeavors. Perfect for those wanting to start a new hobby or enhance their skills!

___Dressmakers/Bent-Handle Shears

 

___Paper Scissors
___Straight Pins, Wonder Clips
___Seam Ripper
___Fabric Marker (air or water soluble), Chalk or Frixon Pens
___Fabric Glue Stick

 

___Fabric: 2 Yards Cotton print 45" wide (no stripes, plaids or checks)
Prewash and press fabric. To add softness, use fabric softener or a vinegar rinse.
