FABRIC SUPPLIES
NOTE: This quilt is designed to be “scrappy”, using 11 different print fabrics in the blocks. It can also be made with just two fabrics, one being a neutral. Stitch N Time staff can assist you with yardage should you elect to use a smaller number of fabrics in your quilt.
The fabric requirements listed are as per the pattern, Quilt size approx 58” X 67”
Neutral or background fabric2 ½ yards
1/3 yard each of 11 fabrics for the blocks (just under 4 yards total fabric)
For Borders, 3 fabrics: 1) 1 yard for middle border, 2) 3/4 yard for outer border, and 3) 1 yard for inner border.
Binding is 1 yard, backing is 4 yards.
To make the quilt like the sample, I got extra yardage and pieced the extra for my backing, pieced borders and pieced binding. I got 1 yard each of 11 fabrics (to take advantage of the 20% off per yard @ Stitch N Time), and 6 yards of the background fabric. This gave me the pieced top, all borders, backing and binding, with fabric left over.
