Kimberly Flannagan started sewing over 40 years ago with her
mother and became an avid quilter in 1998 after becoming the
recipient of a comfort blanket for her infant daughter. After
completing over 50 comfort quilts on her domestic machine, she
purchased her first Handi Quilter longarm machine and quickly
became intrigued with the longarm quilting process. She started
free-motion machine quilting on the original Handi Quilter table
frame with her domestic machine in the early 2000s, then moved
to a HQ Sixteen® in 2011, and since 2017, she quilts with her
HQ Infinity® with Pro-Stitcher®.
In addition to being a Handi Quilter national educator, Kimberly teaches classes across the country in quilt
shops, quilt shows, and quilt guilds. Kimberly has used her mastery of Pro-Stitcher to complete countless
comfort quilts as well as hundreds of quilts for both her clients and herself. Whether it is helping people finish
quilts for family and loved ones, or charitable organizations, she gets great satisfaction in sharing her love of
quilting with others and helping them to experience the joy of that freshly finished quilt. Since acquiring her
HQ Infinity, Kimberly has expanded her creativity to use her longarm to do so much more than just quilting.
She has experience in embroidery on her longarm, the creation of various totes, applique, couching, and
various home-dec projects, that are all done completely on the longarm.
Kimberly loves to combine various techniques including rulers and free-motion quilting to her Pro-Stitcher
quilting. With the introduction of PS Designer, she now has added creating unique digital designs to her skills.
Kimberly lives in North Carolina close to her daughter and her family.

Karen grew up on a farm in NE Ohio in a family of creators and
learned to sew at an early age. She became accomplished in
sewing clothing, embroidery, cross stitch, knitting, crocheting and
quilting. After many years, she found that her passion was quilting
and has been quilting for the past 35 years.
Her grandmother was an excellent seamstress and quilter who
used a treadle sewing machine to create her masterpieces long
before the luxuries of rotary cutters and computerized machines.
Her mom quilted and believed that hand quilting was the only way
to go, until Karen started quilting with a longarm machine!
During high school, Karen took a lot of art classes where she learned about design, color, and texture, which
she is able to integrate into her quilting. Most of her quilts are traditional, but she occasionally steps out of
that genre.
Karen has a BS in elementary education from Kent State University and a master’s degree in educational
technology from Ashland University. In preparing for her retirement after 30 years of teaching, she became
fascinated by longarm quilting. She bought an HQ Amara® and started learning how to use it with a passion.
She loves combining Pro-Stitcher® and ruler work with free motion quilting. She has been a member of a
quilting/sewing group, The Pinpricks, for the last 25 years. Becoming an HQ educator was an exciting way to
combine her love of teaching, technology, and quilting! Her favorite parts of being an HQ educator are working
with people, sharing her expertise, and visiting quilt shops.
Along with her amazing husband, who supports her quilting addiction, Karen lives near Columbus, Ohio. In
addition to quilting, Karen loves to garden, travel and work on the family farm.

About Quilts 24/7

The Stitch-N-Time story began when my wife, Krista, who’d bought a BERNINA from a dealer a fair distance away from our home in Greencastle, PA, took the machine back in for service. The dealer asked if we knew anyone in our own area who would be interested in starting a BERNINA dealership, and the seed for our new business was....READ MORE
