Custom Quilting on Your Embroidery Machine

Create a quick "on point" table runner, prepare it for quilting, then quilt the blocks and borders on your embroidery machine. This project is taken from Amelia Scott's new book 'Custom Quilting on your Embroidery Machine '. once you finish this project, you will have confidence to make any of the 6 projects in  the 'Custom Quilt' book, and quilt many of your own projects! You'll also become more comfortable using your embroidering. We will work at piecing together the table runner in the first class and do the custom quilting in the custom quilting in the second class. Once you position your, embroidery machine will do the work!

Shopping List:
Note: The first thing you need to do is choose one color for your table runner to be, like gold. Next find a background that is very light in color in the same hue, like pale yellow or white with a small gold dot. This will become your setting triangles and center blocks.

Five 1/8 yard cuts, or (1) 2.5” x WOF strips of 5 different fabrics all in the same hue of color.                          (Small prints work best and don’t worry about representing dark, medium, and light. Just find the fabrics in the same hue.)
1/2 yard border fabric (small prints or solids, also in the same color hue).
1-1/2 yards backing fabric in the same color hue. (Yes, you do need this much backing fabric!)
1/3 yard binding fabric
