This breathtaking sampler quilt is all appliqued-in-the-hoop. Become confident at multi-hooping while embroidering these blocks. Each block requires multi-hooping, but once we step you through it in class you will see it's not as hard as you first think. This is an intermediate to advanced class. You will need to be familiar with using your embroidery machine to enjoy this class. Finished quilt size is 72'' by 72''. Bring your embroidery machine on Thursday. Spend the day embroidering. Let your machine set up in our store and come back Friday morning to continue the lesson. Our goal is for you to leave with the confidence to complete this quilt on your own.

'Free-Motion Mastery in a Month' is a new way of learning machine quilting. It works whether you quilt on a domestic sewing machine, a sit-down longarm, or a frame-mounted longarm. By combining exercises that you do away from the sewing machine and quilting one block a day, it quickly develops your muscle memory so you can quilt smoothly and confidently. If you're experienced, this method of learning will help you perfect new patterns faster than ever before. If you're a beginner, these techniques will get you over the fear of starting, and develop your confidence in a short period of time. You'll find that free-motion quilting is not as hard (or as scary) as you thought. That's how RaNae Miller describes her method for learning free-motion quilting in her book (Free-Motion Master in a Month) which will guide our classes. After attending one of her workshops, Margie is excited to be bringing the concept to Stitch-N-Time. This course will be broken into three parts: Intro (1/2 day), Free-Motion Practice (full day), and Quilt Assembly (1/2 day). Be sure to check for a supply list so you know what you need each day.

Cost: $ 55.00
Use your standard sewing machine to create a piece of artwork uniquely yours. If you are new to free motion stitching, following the lines of a design is a great way to get started. Margie will supply you with a quilt sandwich with the design on the fabric. You will use threads, sewing with your feed dogs down, to "paint" the design.

The color options are endless... all one fabric, different fabrics from a Layer Cake Collection or mix and match your own scraps! Rug size approximately 40" x 25".
