T-shirt Quilt




We will begin class with a lecture on how to create your  Master Plan.
After each student has created their plan we will begin cutting and stabilizing the t-shirts.

Supplies: You will need 9 to 20 t-shirts, be sure all shirts are clean (stains are ok they add to the story)

For Designing:
Loose-leaf graph paper--4 squares to the inch
Sharp pencil and eraser
Paper scissors
Clear tape
Glue stick or removable tape(scotch Blue package)
Rotary cutting ruler square 12" or greater for measuring t-shirt designs
Notebook for notes

For cutting and stabilizing t-shirts:
Rotary cutter
Cutting mat
Ruler 6"x 24"
Lightweight knit fusible stabilizer (Fusi-knit or Armo Weft) approximately 1/2 yard per shirt
Marking tools for light and dark fabrics
Sewing machine with 1/4" foot and walking foot 

Since Susan does not know the number of shirts each student is bringing she cannot give exact yardage amounts for the actual quilt.
