36 Dark/Medium Dark 2 1/2" strips

32 Light/Medium Light 2 1/2" strips

7/8 yard Setting Triangles and Block Centers

1 5/8 yards Inner Border, Star Points, Binding

1 1/4 yards Outer Border

5 3/4 yards Backing

You will also want to bring your sewing machine with 1/4" foot, cutting mat, rotary cutter and basic sewing supplies.

If you bought your fabric kit here, you will notice your kit has 1/3 yd cuts instead of the precuts. That is so you can make your own 2 1/2 in. strips which will be more precise for you to work with than the precuts. Your kit has 9 third yard cuts of medium/darks, and 8 third yard cuts of light/medium. Before class, cut these pieces into 2 1/2 in. strips. You will get 4 strips out of each third yard piece. So you will have 36 dark strips and 32 light strips. We recommend using the Quilter's Select Ruler to cut your strips for ease and accuracy.
